We are located within a 5 minute walking distance to tram lines heading to the City, Sydney Road and Brunswick East and parking is available around the home or else just bike about like a true local.

I love the long thin strip that is Fitzroy, stretching from the top of the city toward the north shouldered on either side by Collingwood and Carlton. On a sunny day take a stroll down Brunswick or Smith Street into the city, enjoy our local architecture, street art, shops... and stop along the way for a meal, a drink, some music.... With 3 transport corridors, travel from St Kilda on the bay, to Preston and beyond is easy. The Museum, the MCG and the Rod Laver Arena, the National Gallery, Concert Hall and Theatres, our art filled laneways and fabulous eateries are all in easy reach. A uniquely Melbourne experience - perfect for an extended (or short) stay. The Stables were originally built in 1880 for the horses that serviced the Victorian home they are situated behind. The Stables have been converted into a spacious, sun-lit, private, fully self-contained accommodation over 2 levels with a shared garden and independent access (allowing you to come and go as you please). It is a short stroll to great food, leafy Edinburgh Gardens, public transport and bike paths.

The Old Stables

The old stables in Fitzroy North. Our space is a renovated old stables situated at the back of our home in Fitzroy north. The two properties are kept separate, so the house is all yours for the duration of your stay. We designed the space to feel as though it is connected to the garden, the wooden ceiling and large glass sliding doors open up to let nature in. This is a place for relaxation, a retreat that is still close to the fun of the city.
