Wander nearby forest trails, ride Puffing Billy, visit cellar doors or enjoy good local food and coffee. Or stay in, put on some music, and relax on the verandah while kookaburras, parrots, echidnas and wombats wander by. Right next door to Avalon Castle and an easy walk to Chae. Linen and towels provided.

The Shack - Eco Nature Retreat

A sun dappled half acre block with gardens of European and Australian plants, mountain ash and tree ferns, and lovely mountain views. Amazing native birds and animals with very sociable parrots. Close to the Redwood Forest and Bodhivana Buddhist Temple. Rail Trail, Mountainbike Trail and O'Shannassy Aqueduct Trail nearby for walking and cycling. A genuine family owned and run holiday house.

Menzies Cottage is an hour east of Melbourne & set high on a mountain-side in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges. Enjoy views out to the Wellington Road farmlands & Cardinia Reservoir. On a clear day you can see Arthur’s Seat, Port Phillip & Westernport Bays. Visit nearby Puffing Billy Steam Train, go bushwalking, feed the friendly farm animals or settle-in for a lazy afternoon before watching the sun set. The cottage is fully self contained & with your own private entrance, deck & enclosed garden.

Emerald is a beautiful scenic town popular for its picturesque lake and parks and Puffing Billy. Nestled in between the quaint towns of Cockatoo and Belgrave, Emerald is a frequently visited town among tourists to the Dandenong Ranges region. Whispering Trees is a beautiful modern bungalow on our 1 acre property which is completely separate from the main house and within walking distance to the township. We think our bungalow is best suited for couples and solo adventurers and small families.

We live in a separate dwelling on-site—here to assist if needed but won’t interrupt your relaxing stay. Chat with our friendly dogs, George (Bull Mastiff) & Myrtle (Bulldog), highland cow, sheep, duck, and chooks.

Situated in the beautiful Dandenong Ranges, a one hour drive from Melbourne's CBD, The Artisan’s Cottage is a truly unique place to unwind. Set in almost one acre of rambling gardens, the cottage features a spacious bedroom with a queen sized bed, a beautifully appointed ensuite, a large living/dining room warmed by a wood fire and a well equipped kitchenette. The Artisan's Cottage is home to Penny Olive Sourdough bakery and Tiny Block Wine, run by your hosts Penny and Andrew.

A sweet, comfortable, private light-filled studio opening onto a small courtyard. Located in the heart of Northcote, only minutes from the High Street cafes, bars, music venues and public transport, this studio is suitable for one or two people. The studio is in the garden, has its own private entrance, wifi, an ensuite bathroom, some kitchen facilities, shared BBQ and outdoor eating setting. Occasionally at night you might see or hear native possums running across the roof.
