Please note: the unit is a private guesthouse accessed up one flight of stairs. A mobile laundry service is available, but the unit does not have a washer/dryer. The space is open yet cosy and the windows look out to trees and hills in the neighborhood. It feels far removed from the city yet you are walking distance from the adorable Elmwood neighborhood of Berkeley. We have a full kitchen with new appliances, wi-fi, a smart TV, and plenty of built-in storage for your belongings if you are staying for a longer visit. You have access to the entire unit as it is separate from our house and located in the front of the property. I love to meet our guests, but generally we are running different directions so only see each other upon arrival and in passing. I am always available by phone though! This one of the oldest neighborhoods in Berkeley, with established trees and gorgeous walks in the nearby hills and easy access to nearby Elmwood stores. It feels far removed from city life, but Berkeley and Oakland are still within easy reach. You probably want a car (parking is very easy in our neighborhood which is not the norm in Berkeley) or plan to take Lyft. Bart is a 15 minute walk from our house, and there is a bus route that picks up at the bottom of our street. If you are visiting Cal, the bus takes you there easily.

Redwood Sanctuary is located in the idyllic Oakland Hills with beautiful vistas, hikes, and parks within a short drive. The home is situated on half an acre of land in the middle of redwood, eucalyptus, and oak trees secluded away from other homes. Montclair village is an 8 minute drive, providing lots of great food and shops. Minutes from Highway 13 and 580. It is a 1 bedroom studio with a queen bed and a pull out sofa bed. Serene, private free-standing cottage in our back yard converted into a studio efficiency apartment with King bed, 1 full bath, 2 sinks, microwave, dorm fridge, coffee maker and more! Alameda is a beautiful historic Island city located across the bay from San Francisco. The cottage is in the rear of our property inside locked security gate. Plenty of residential parking, no stairs, .2 mile to bus, .7 mile to BART, minutes to beach, shopping, restaurants, ferry. FYI: one step at front entrance

Great space for a lovely trip to the Bay Area! Located in a very safe & quiet neighborhood of Alameda. The cottage has a private bathroom with shower (no tub), a kitchenette with microwave, and the most comfortable queen bed. Close to Oakland Coliseum, BART, SF, Oakland Airport, and ferry to SF. Great access to Bay Farm Trail and just a short walk to restaurants and shopping. ** Please note that the bed is against the wall, so if you are a group of two, one person will be against the wall.

This 100-year old water tower in our backyard supplied water to beach cottages on our street. It's been renovated into a tiny home, mostly using reused or upcycled materials. We're happy to share it with guests looking for a quiet & unique place to stay in the Bay Area. It has its own entrance, private courtyard and is located one block from the beach, pinball museum, transit, farmers market, coffee shops & restaurants. You’ll love it because it's quaint and conveniently located.

This private zen cottage, is conveniently located near major ferry service, train,and bus lines to San Francisco and other cities surrounding Alameda. The cottage offers a outdoor private court yard area. Inside the cottage you will find a desk, living room area , queen size bed with cozy bedding, a kitchenette area with microwave, toaster, coffee maker, kettle, with complimentary tea, coffee and creamer, and last but not least the bathroom with a toilet and shower.
