York is 20 min by car. Country Houses , Sledmere, Castle Howard and Burton Agnes are all within a 30 minute drive. Family/ friends, Male or Female groups welcome. Located on a main train and bus route you can get to us from any direction! We have a bus stop 50 metres away and the train station is a 12 minute walk.

It’s the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Yorkshire dales, Skipton and Ilkley or taking in the beautiful Yorkshire coastal towns of Whitby,Robin Hoods Bay, Scarborough and lovely market towns of Helmsley, Malton.

There is a Park and Ride facility just 2 minutes/400 metres from the property opposite the B&Q store, and around the corner from the bus stop where many bus can be taken directly into the City. The property is a leisurely 35/40 minute walk to the centre of town. There is parking space on the drive to park the car, or directly outside the property. The neighbourhood is quiet and safe

An extraordinarily spacious bungalow with period cottage features - inglenook fireplace, lots of brickwork and beams - despite being a relatively young property (built 2000). There is an excellent flow to the property and feels like a very sociable place to be, it is very well equipped, cosy and warm. Extensive outdoor patio and parking areas. We are extremely proud of our property and want our guests to enjoy it as much as we have.
