Our tiny house in the trees is set amongst the ferns and pongas with seclusion in mind, only native birds as close neighbours. No road noise, off street parking. Nature permitting, you can star gaze while soaking in the outdoor bath, spot the milky way, or our very own glow worms. 15mins drive to CBD and Eat street, Gondolas, Canopy Tours, Hobbiton approximately an hour away.

Take a break and unwind at this peaceful oasis. Enjoy the peacefulness and serenity this unique location has to offer. Enjoy a refreshing swim , relax in the outdoor bath tubs or try your hand at catching a trout. Enjoy the tranquil sound of nature from every aspect. Hot water via gas califont , flushing toilet , solar power , fridge , unlimited WiFi. Note : cabins location requires travelling down a farm track. If track is wet , we offer a vehicle for transportation down to the location.

Experience our bespoke, solar powered cabin, rustic but surrounded by nature. With an outdoor bath, ( not hot tub) overlooking the river. This private area is perfect for unwinding and reconnecting with yourself. Wear covering clothing outdoors for insects 15 minutes from Hobbiton, close to Te Waihou Blue spring and Waiwere falls. Arriving at night, follow the solar lights. Dogs are welcome but no aggressive dogs. Please take your waste with you, we have don’t have bins in rural areas.

Private, architecturally designed Studio

A deliberately different, John Henderson designed, slightly quirky B & B in Bethlehem, Tauranga - situated next door too, and run by the owners of Somerset Cottage, a long established restaurant and cookschool. You are always welcome to join us at the restaurant on one of the nights we're open - Wednesday to Saturday ( bookings tend to be necessary), or we can bring a restaurant meal over to you in the Studio if you'd prefer to dine in private. You'll love this unique and romantic escape.

The Cabin - Fantail Grove, Hamurana, Rotorua.

The Cabin is located at Hamurana, in a 2 acre garden setting 350m from Lake Rotorua. Located 120 m from the owners house and is completely private. All around are Sugar Maples with ferns and native plants underneath which attract the fantails. Purpose built and architecturally designed in 2019 as a holiday retreat using passive home guidelines. The cabin is a 15 minute drive from Rotorua CBD, close to all tourist attractions while allowing you the peace and quiet of a luxury retreat.

The Shepherd's Hut

Take a breath of fresh air at our peaceful and rustic country getaway. At our stunning Maungatautari hut, you'll feel a million miles away from anywhere, while being only minutes from local international sporting venues, Takapoto Estate and Karapiro Domain. Only 20mins drive from Cambridge. Our delightful cabin offers the best of country life with your very own private deck, hot tub and Queen-sized bed. Basic kitchen facilities, TV and bathroom are all provided. What more could you want?

Dreamy sunsets over Lake Taupo & Ruapehu

Our modern home is 15 minutes from Taupō yet feels like a private hideaway. Quiet and secluded, it looks out to Lake Taupō and Mount Ruapehu, with stunning sunsets. Ideal year-round, it has outdoor areas with BBQ, large windows and a double-sided fireplace. Whakaipo Bay is 5 minutes away for swimming or walking, with plenty of bush tracks nearby. Not suitable for children. Hairdryer, toiletries and iron not provided (sorry guests keep taking them and it’s to hard to constantly replace).

Kotare Lakeside Studio

You won’t want to leave this charming, one-of-a-kind place. Right on the edge of the beautiful lake Rotoiti. Relax to the sound of the lapping waves and native bird song. Bifold doors open onto your private deck right by the waters edge. Park your boat/jet ski on the jetty ready for your next adventure AND you can even bring your fur child with you. Outside bath is "rustic" Outstanding bush walks, water falls, hot pools, glow worms and only 20 mins from Rotorua. We wash your dishes!

We offer a very special location out of town with panoramic views across rural countryside and Lake Rotorua; it is private, peaceful, and intended to be your home from home, with its own access and facilities. Country Stay with Mount Kakepuku Views

Breathe the fresh country air at this contemporary architecture retreat. On the outside, the home features a sleek industrial aesthetic and a private outdoor bath, while the inside bursts with a boutique design style, neutral greys, and wood accents. The country stay is located down a typical New Zealand country road. Surrounded by dairy farms and kiwi fruit orchards, guests may see farmers about their daily work. Feel free to wave out to them if they drive past in their tractors.

The Pink House

This lovely small cottage originally came into my family as a retirment home for my (then) 90 year old mother, Olive. She loved the place except for its original colour and so promptly painted it Pink. The house has many of her touches still in it, such as the cross stitch pictures framed on the walls. Nana Olive was well known through Tokoroa for her hospitality and warm welcome she offered at the Pink House, and we are delighted to continue this tradition.

Downstairs unit. Your own space separate to the main house. Peaceful and centrally located in the rural town of Putaruru. 400m off SH1. Tea, coffee, sugar, milk, continental breakfast supplied for your first morning. 7 minutes drive from Blue springs. 10 min walk from bus stop. 10 min walk to town. Heat and eat only, no kitchen sink. Queen bed, 50" TV, Please park beside the B&B sign, not in front of the garage. If arriving in two cars please let me know.
