At the day time you can walk to the beach but you will not see any penguins there. At the night time you can't walk to the beach. There are also have volunteer guides at night. They are lovely and friendly. They will show you where the penguins are

There are two places to see the fairy penguin at dusk - Lillico beach and at Burnie near the Makers Workshop and Burnie Visitor Centre. They are both excellent.

Penguin viewing, arrive just on sunset, there will be volunteer guides with special viewing torches, get up close and personal. Very cute ! Donation only.
