Farmers Market for getting locally grown produce and treats on Saturday’s from 8 am - 1 pm.
Saturday morning Farmers Market and cultural goods. On the west end of Main street Charlotte Amalie.
Another historical location, where slaves were bought and sold. Other public events were held there. Now used for local events and Saturday morning Farmer's Market.
Officially called Rothschild Francis Square, Market Square eventually became a popular place for people from all over the island to come to sell and purchase fresh fruit, fish, sauces, and vegetables. Its main landmark, the imposing cast iron bungalow, was built in the early 20th century and is where vendors set up. Traditionally, the busiest market day is Saturday (best day to go, earlier the better)… vendors arrive hours before dawn. Tourists who visit Market Square on Saturday mornings will be reminded of other farmers markets found throughout the world. The square can be accessed from Main Street or Back Street.
