Historic Lake Leatherwood City Park has been a Eureka Springs recreation landmark for many decades. Created during the WPA era by Civilian Conservation Corp (CCC), the 1,610 acre park continues to serve as the city's premier outdoor recreational resource. The spring fed no wake lake's 80ft tall limestone faced dam is the hallmark CCC remnant along with many other stone features still in service. The park provides many recreational opportunities with camping, cabins and RV sites, boating, handicapped kayak and canoe launch, fishing, shower house, boat dock/marina, swimming, playground and over 25 miles of hiking and biking trails. Whether you need to get away for a couple of hours or days, Lake Leatherwood City Park is waiting for you!

Lake Leatherwood city park (4 mi. W) - The lake is formed by one of the largest hand-cut native limestone dams in the country. The dam and several structures at the park were built in the early 1940's

Pretty lake setting. Scenic hiking trails and bike trails. Lake Leatherwood City Park is larger in acreage than Central Park in NYC!
