Silves Cathedral is well worth a visit. It was built in the 13th Century and is impressive from the outside with the whitewashed walls and the red sandstone arches.

A must. Once the capital of the Algarve. Lots to see apart from the part restored castle. Lots of cafes and restaurants.

É considerado um dos templos mais notáveis da arquitectura gótica do Algarve. Visitas das 9:00 ás 17:00 Encerra ao fim de semana e feriados. It is considered one of the most notable temples of Gothic architecture in the Algarve. Visits from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Closed on weekends and holidays.
