Definitely worth a visit. Check out the website and decide which sections of gardens you want to check out. Lots of great outdoor space and dedicated special areas like the Japanese, Azalea and Herb Gardens.

Another great way to get outside while still in the city, the National Arboretum is packed with trails, gardens, and unique collections. The National Bonsai & Penjing Museum is especially fun to walk through!

One of our national treasures to be found here are gifts of trees from around the world. This Large Tree Garden, groups varieties together in beautiful arrangements. The Bonsai Garden is a treat, as is the architecture around it. Bring your camera.
