Pitlochry Dam Visitor Centre exhibits the history of hydro electricity in Scotland. After the second world war great hydro schemes were built which brought jobs and electricity to the highlands. Pitlochry dam is famous for its fish ladder which allows salmon to bypass the dam and continue to their spawning grounds. Drive time 20mins
