Local winery that also has a high end restaurant called Palladio. Great local wine for tastings and they also have food and a lovely patio area.

Close by and a very popular vineyard in Albemarle county. Beautiful setting with a lot of outdoor seating and picnic areas.

Years ago, I managed an annual wine festival that featured the top 16 wineries in Virginia -- and Barboursville was consistently among them! The vineyard is in a pretty spot east of the Blue Ridge, just a short drive from James Madison's Montpelier.
