Our favourite beach spot (shhh please don't tell everyone, as it's a well-kept secret). Dog-friendly beach areas all year round, easy carpark on the beach with a small cafe and public toilets. Best to check tide times and go at low tide for lovely wide sand flats, at high tide it's a less-impressive steep stony shelf!
Famous for its sand dunes on a few miles along the coast, just a short train ride or bus ride directly to this seaside town beaches
Climping beach is a quiet rural beach a 40 minute drive from the barn.. Like many of the beaches along this stretch of the Sussex coast it is made up of shingle and pebbles held in place by a series of wooden groynes. As the tide goes out a vast expanse of sand is exposed. One of Climping’s claims to fame is it was used as a location in a couple of episodes of Doctor Who in the 60s and 70s.
