Take a ride into the past on the last known wooden double stern-wheel paddle boats still in operation in the United States. The Millersburg Ferry Boats are the only ferries still in service along the whole 464-mile-long Susquehanna River. The ferry can be access from the Ferry Boat Camp Grounds just south of Liverpool.
Millersburg has the only two wooden paddle ferryboats operating in the United States. Each one holds 4 cars or several motorcycles, horse and buggy and up to 50 people. Go roundtrip over the Susquehanna River or stop off at the Ferryboat Campgrounds in Liverpool. We celebrated 200 years of service in 2017.
The oldest continuous running ferry boart in the US. Open in the summer. Start at the Liverpool side of the Susquehanna River and cross with your car or on foot. A fun shortcut to Armstrong Winery in Halifax after sipping wine at The Winery at Hunter's Valley in Liverpool.
