Limited opening hours Thursday through Saturday. This outsider artist was a Boise native . His art is currently in the Smithsonian among other national galleries. This house just opened and gives a great overview of his life.

James Castle was an uniquely gifted artist. He crafted with scraps from his home and used coal from the fire to draw. His perspective on the world is particularly interesting. This museum is free all the time!

Idaho native and internationally recognized artist James Castle worked and lived in the area. His home has been turned into a museum to honor Castle's body of work.
