Recently renovated with a few bars, wide variety of restaurants and meals and free shuttle bus service from the waterfront to combat parking congestion. Views are not as impressive as the nearby Waterfront precinct but the food is better value. This wharf survived the bombing of Darwin and cyclone Tracy so has historical significance.

Out towards the harbour, olde-worlde Stokes Hill Wharf is a real contrast to the modern city scene. Undercover are a dozen or more stalls selling seafood, Asian stir-fry or tandoori with soft doughy naan.
