Always something happening here - wind sailing, sailboats, big ships. Great place for dogs to run free in the surf.

We love bringing our out-of-town guests to Chrissy Field for group pictures with the Golden Gate Bridge as a backdrop. It's also a great place for a walk/run offering paved trail along the Bay.

This is our favorite place to walk our dog. The views of the bay and the Golden Gate are great, as is the windsurfing/kitesurfing/dog scene. There's a small cafe at the East End of the parking lot. Great place for a walk and selfies. On warm days, relatively rare in San Francisco, the beach is crowded, but there's plenty of parking.

The walk from the Marina Green to Fort Point at the base of the Golden Gate Bridge and back: a 3 mile, flat walk along the superb shoreline of San Franciso Bay at the Golden Gate. Sometimes foggy and chilly, other times balmy yet with a breeze. Sailboats and surfers, kids and sandcastles, kite fliers and beach combers. Breathe it in!
