Great place to hike. You can take a more difficult trail and feel like you are in the mountains. Great views of Sugar Mountain, Flat Rock and even down town Charlotte on a clear day.

This 189-acre park allows visitors to climb a mountain and see views of the Catawba Valley, and vegetation natural to the higher elevations.

Trails well marked and kept in good condition. Not too easy, not too difficult. Nice view when you make it to the top. Great viewing platform at the top, with a place to rest & picnic. Picnic areas also at start of hike. Restroom clean. Wonderful experience. FYI please use Google map to get there not waze or iPhone map.
