Whether these games trigger boatloads of nostalgia for you or you just remember your dad talking about them, Free Play's a great way to beat the heat (or other inclement weather) while still having a good time here in Richardson.

Free Play Arcade (freeplayinc.com) has several locations now, but this is the first in the area and first of its kind in the U.S. If you're a Baby Boomer or Gen Xer, you can relive your video arcade days, and if you're a fan of "Stranger Things," you can imagine you're with Max and the gang, at this unique indoor entertainment option. Free Play Arcade changed the arcade industry in 2015 with this first location , featuring 100 vintage pinball and video arcade machines, running 100% with original parts and offering unlimited play with one admission fee-- plus a bar and food menu. We took our older kids here and had a blast. Good food and drinks.

Richardson was Free Play’s first location! What a fun place to hang out for kids and adults. $10 admission gets you FREE PLAY to a rotating assortment of retro and new video games and pinball. Full bar, craft beer on tap and bottles and food is served. TIP: Free Play has a curfew, at 9pm it is 18 and up only.
