Dam Square in Zaandam (20 minute walk) is where you'll find our local entertainment: Restaurants, bars, terraces , etc, and the main shopping drag is just nearby. Please don't compare it with Amsterdam, but you can definately have a decent meal here (International, French, sushi, tapas, Greek, shawarma (الشاورما), Italian, Chinese/wok, snacks (burgers/chips, etc.) And obviously drinks of any description.

This place is great for breakfast, lunch and dinner. On the weekends you need to reserve for breakfast/lunch. Large outside sitting area and family friendly. Good quality food for decent prices.
