Gili Trawangan (universally known as Gili T) is by far the most cosmopolitan; its bar and party scene is vibrant, its accommodation and restaurants are close to definitive tropical chic. Gili Air has the strongest local character, but also a perfect mix of buzz and bliss. Gili Meno is flirting with shoreline gentrification.

Gili Islands of Lombok are accessible from Candidasa by a nearby fast ferry ( our guys can organise this). The trip is scenic taking in the east coast of Bali. Gili Islands are famous for sunshine ( no rain), stunning sunsets, reef snorkelling, aqua beaches, no cars - hire a bike and explore the islands, good restaurants and bars. There are 3 islands , the party island is Trawangan, the quiter islands are Meno and Air.

The Gili Islands—made up of Gili Trawangan, Gili Meno and Gili Air—are a 1.5 hour boat ride from Bali and off the coast of Lombok Island. Known for their white sand beaches and Caribbean-blue waters, the islands are a magnet for couples, backpackers, divers and partiers alike. Of the three islands, Gili Trawangan is the most developed and a popular haunt for the young backpacking crowd. Gili Air & Gili Meno are more quieter and serene, if you are looking for a getaway from it all, these are the two islands I recommend.
