This huge mural pays homage to the acclaimed artist Joan Miró. It was made in 2004 by Barcelona-based graffiti artist Sixe Paredes, who’s famous in the post-graffiti scene, and it was the first mural made for the project Ciutat Vella, by Arcadi Poch. The mural is in a street parallel to the Rambla del Raval, which is full of great places to eat. My favorites are the delicious sandwiches of Madame Jazmine and the Turkish kebabs of Kilim.

The Joan Miró Foundation is one of our favorite museums in Barcelona. Going at least once is mandatory.

Joan Miró is one of the most important Spanish artists in Barcelona, for that reason it could be interesting for you to visit this museum where you have the chance of seeing some of his pieces of art, as well as other art from his contemporaries.

The idea for the foundation was made in 1968 by Joan Miró. Miró formed the foundation with his friend Joan Prats.[1] Miró wanted to create a new building that would encourage particularly younger artists to experiment with contemporary art. The building was designed by Josep Lluís Sert to ensure that this work could also be made available to the public and exhibited. He designed the building with courtyards and terraces and to create a natural path for visitors to move through the building.
