Mount Melleray Abbey is a community of Cistercian (Trappist)monks. The monastery is situated on the slopes of the Knockmealdown mountains in County Waterford, Ireland. Visitors can attend prayer, mass and enjoy the peaceful and tranquil surrondings followed by refreshments in the coffee shop. You van also purchase souvenirs in their gift shop.

Mount Mellary Abbey is a Cistercian(Trappist) Monastery located in the Knockmealdown mountains -a 20 minute drive from Suir Valley cottage. It was founded in 1833.visitors are allowed to enter the two churches and enjoy the grounds of the abbey. It has a small heritage centre, a tea room and abook shop.
