Heifer Village is great for adults and children alike, with a museum exhibition, urban farm, and home base of Heifer International, a charity that addresses world hunger through animal husbandry. Admission is free, and the grounds and exhibitions are beautiful. Visitors learn about animals and life in other countries where there is not ready-access to clean drinking water or shelter. Their gift store and cafe are also enjoyable.

The 3-acre area is also home to a community garden, beehives and butterfly garden. It's like being out in the country — but then you look up and see the Little Rock skyline! Heifer International is a nonprofit organization headquarted in Little Rock. Heifer Village is their interactive, free museum located at the headquarters where the whole family can learn about developing countries and the work that Heifer does around the world. The farm features animals that the organization provides families through its projects. For example, donors can buy a goat or alpaca to supply for a family in need in an area where Heifer serves.
