Henry Mercer had the vision to collect the tools that built America. He was likely viewed as quite an eccentric when he began his quest, but thanks to him he preserved artifacts and tools that you will only read about in history books. The building itself is just as interesting as the collection and as a child, this was one of my favorite places. It's a wonderland for kids to explore. My father had antique printing presses that he used to make our family Christmas cards on every year and I am proud that one of his presses is in their permanent collection.

You will never see anything like this museum! And include Henry Mercers home and Tile Works Museum.
In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, Mercer collected pre-industrial hand tools and other implements of the past. He believed that the story of human progress and accomplishments was told by the tools and objects that people used and saw these time-honored crafts slowly disappearing from memory. (Wikipedia)
