You can walk just about anywhere in the CBD, Southbank and throughout gorgeous Carlton, home of the iconic Exhibition Buildings and gardens - which we are directly opposite! 4 major supermarkets within walking distance, along with pharmacies This huge studio is a short stay apartment - no one lives there and it is specifically set up for guests to have the most enjoyable stay. Fully equipped, including a welcome goody basket upon arrival, and a guest guide book full of our top tips to get the most out of your visit to the area. With a deco inspired entrance, wrought iron gates and solid brick exterior, it is one of the few residences from this era that remain in Melbourne. Our studio is set up for guests with all the kitchen and bathroom amenities you need to make your stay easy and enjoyable. It has just been fully refurbished (largely by us!) to make it as comfortable and convenient as possible. The car space is located within the grounds and is accessed with an electronic fob. The apartment is located on the 2nd floor and can be accessed via lift or stairs. It epitomises everything about Melbourne culture, with amazing cafes, markets, gardens, and restaurants right on the doorstep. It is moments away from the bright lights of the city centre. You can walk to the city centre in a few minutes. From the centre there are trams, trains and buses to take you anywhere in Melbourne. There is a bike hire stand directly across the road in front of the Exhibition Buildings. Free parking is on site if you have a car. Uber and Taxi services will be on your doorstep in minutes. This is a beautiful quiet building on the edge of the city and we appreciate the co-operation of our guests in respecting our neighbours during their stay by keeping the noise down. The studio is in a double brick building with windows on every side, so the temperature is always very comfortable. The ceiling fan with reverse heat function is all we have needed so far.

The living and dining areas are designed to be stylish and contemporary, at the same time as being very comfortable and functional. There are two beautifully appointed bathrooms. Reverse cycle airconditioning and heating ensure that you will be comfortable all year round. The north facing balcony provides abundant natural light and overlooks the iconic ACDC Lane Hotel quality mattresses and high-grade linen ensure a good night's sleep, and double glazing provides a peaceful escape from the sounds of the busy city when needed. A small supermarket is just 50 metres away and is open from 7.00 am to 10.00 pm (approximately) most days. The apartment is minutes from Flinders St. Station and Federation Square - the heart of Melbourne. It is located in the best restaurant district, and is close to the renowned "Paris End" of Collins Street, high-end shopping, theatres and galleries. Melbourne's city centre has a free tram zone, and there is a tram stop at the front of the apartment. It is also on the iconic free City Circle Tram, which takes you around the circumference of the city, with a commentary that points out some of the famous landmarks along the way. If you need to use public transport to go outside the free zone, you will need a MYKI card - we can provide you with one on request. A taxi from the airport is about $65.00 depending on traffic. If you decide to use the airport Skybus it will drop you at Southern Cross Station. Catch the City Circle Tram (anticlockwise) or a tram heading East along Collins Street (No, 11, 12 or 109) or along Flinders Street (No. 48 or 75). You will need to get off the tram at Exhibition Street. If you are coming by car, access to the Building is from Flinders Street heading eastwards, between Russell Street and Exhibition Street. Check in time is after 2.00 pm. Check out time is 10.00 am, unless we have agreed otherwise.

The complex is also situated in the free tram zone – although many are more excited about the famous cafe ‘Higher Ground’ in the same building. Well, big thanks to Melbourne! Becasue we have free tram zone in Melbourne CBD. And luckily my apartment is in the free tram zone as well. Please remember this is a residential property, not a commercial venue. Guests won't be allowed to host a birthday party, wedding party in the apartment. Extra cost + extra cleaning fee will be charged if this kind of situation happens.
