SYLA HOTEL HAKONE GORA EAST-102 is a apartment that opened in fall 2021. This two floor apartment with loft can accommodate up to 8 people. Fully furnished and equipped with the latest electronic devices for a good stay. Gora station is only a 3 minute walk away and there are multiple restaurants and day trip onsen facilities within walking distance from the apartment. Gora is easily accessible by train from Hakone Yumoto, so it is great to combine the two places in one trip.

風に､音に､緑に､湖に､太陽に､雲に､星に､月に､雨に､土に､雪に､そしてこの山荘にとけるようにくつろいでいただきたいという思いで「とけとけ山荘」と命名致しました。 グラフィックテザイン、彫刻、家具づくりを学び、ジュエリーデザイナーとして活動するオーナーが、建物、外構、インテリアまでほぼ全てデザインし、一部施工も致しました。いやいや、結構施工いたしました笑。 外観は温もりのある黒。焼杉という、杉を焼いた材料を真鍮の釘で留めています。西の地域で使用される伝統技法の珍しい外観です。 家具職人だった経験を生かし、室内の欄間やドアの小窓、照明、キッチンバックカウンター 、棚、看板などなど無垢の木を使い自作致しました。また古道具をリメイク、リサイズしたものもあり、ここにしかないものがたくさんあります。床や階段は無垢の杉板、壁はドライウォール というアメリカの技法を使った塗り壁で、こちらも職人さんに手伝っていただきながらの自主施工です。温もりのある、新しいようなどこか懐かしいような落ち着く空間を目指しました。

Also it has a Japanese style garden where you can enjoy the beautiful scenery just sitting on the tatami. The house is 25 min bus ride from Hakone-Yumoto. From the nearest bus stop, Midorinomura-Iriguchi, it's about 2 min walk. It is also very close (3min bus ride) to Sounzan, the terminal of the Hakone rope way.
