The View

On a plateau overlooking the Ruamahanga river valley is our cosy two bedroom fully self contained cottage. The views are jaw dropping, backdropped by the Tararua Ranges. On the river flats below, summer crops form a patchwork of different colours. Above, the big sky can be an endless blue or filled with rolling banks of cloud and truly spectacular sunsets. At night the wondrous canopy of stars is why the region is an official International Dark Sky Reserve. It’s all utterly peaceful.

Built in 2020, this house has been especially designed for the adult get away. No-one loses here; four equal sized bedrooms, each with a super king bed. Comfortably sleeps four people, can sleep six with the use of the couch bed. 1960's style house, with some jazzy wallpaper. One level with two bedrooms - one queen bed, one double bed. Sofa-bed is a cosy double. There are a couple of stairs at both front and rear doors.
