This light filled studio is tucked away in a private area of our property and is the perfect restful escape for just yourself, couples, or small families. The studio has a Scandinavian summer house style featuring red weatherboard with white trimmings and a pergola. It is 5 minutes walk to the Sandgate waterfront, good cafes, and local bars. Little Red and our home have recently seen some changes. For Little Red, guests will now benefit from a private yard, and a new outdoor covered patio area.

Settle back in your fully self contained flat, (adjoining our house), exclusively for you with your own entrance to freely come & go. Canal glimpses from the courtyard. Walk to the shady foreshore with seaside paths & BBQs beside the pristine Pumicestone Passage. Enjoy the sunset views here of the Glasshouse Mountains & walk to Kakadu Bird Hide, then a short walk back home. The no smoking, 1 bed flat is attached to the hosts house so if you like a quiet location, this place is waiting for you!

It lies approximately 15 minutes drive from the rural village of Dayboro, or 20 minutes from Samford Village and 45 min from Brisbane and Brisbane Airport. Fig Tree Cottage is surrounded by 52 acres of native bushland abundant with native birdlife, walking trails , landscaped gardens, dam, a creek and swimming hole when flowing. Unit is located behind our house. Own entrance, off street parking. A 2 minute walk to Shops (Coles +), restaurants and hotel. A bus stop, which can take you to Chermside (shops or more buses) or Strathpine shops and railway station or the City. A 15 minute drive to major shopping centres and hospitals. 40 minutes to city. 2 hours Gold Coast and 1.5 hours to Sunshine coast. The unit is only suitable for 1 or 2 guests. I am sorry but I cannot accommodate infants/children or pets.

The Red Door Cottage

Separate fully self contained "Granny Flat" with its own entrance off an easement; set in a beautifully lush garden. There is generally plenty of street parking with a walk generally no more than 30 to 40 metres up the easement to the gate which opens on to the "Red Door" of the cottage. When parking please be aware of the bus stop at the end of the easement; Queensland laws stipulate a 10 metre clearway in front and 20m clearway at the rear of the bus stop.
