The Old Barn, Buxton - A Dream Come True

It's rare to find a place that's both historic and modern. It has been my dream to renovate the unique and private barn at our Grade 2 family home and finally it has happened! I would love to share it with you. Ours is one of the oldest houses in Buxton dating back to the seventeenth century and was once a coaching stop on the medieval road to London. It is now a boutique property set near the common, ideally situated to explore the Peak District yet just a short walk into the town centre.

Generally under 16’s (less infants) don’t stay. Beautiful 1876 house, next to owners home, located by tranquil cricket ground, Devonshire Dome, Spa, Opera House and Pavilion Gardens. Light, airy lounge with large windows overlooks lawn and, well equipped kitchen/dining area enables breakfast before exploring Peak District. Upstairs a spacious landing offers seating, 4 en-suite TV bedrooms sleeping 9 with 2 zip/link beds enabling flexible sleeping. The top floor provides an additional TV lounge.

The Burrows garden flat in central Buxton

The Burrows is a self-contained garden flat tucked away on a private back road in the heart of Buxton. It has its own private entrance and garden (5 steps down) with an off-road parking space for a small car. A deceptively spacious bolthole the flat has one large bedroom with a kingsize bed, bathroom with bath and shower, a library and study area, a light and airy living room, and a recently upgraded kitchen. Footpaths lead you directly into one of the most dramatic landscapes of the peaks. Stoop farm is in a beautiful secluded location yet only 15mins from the spa town of Buxton.

This romantic retreat is set in the heart of the picturesque village of Butterton which overlooks the beautiful Manifold Valley in the Peak District. The lanes are lined with pretty sandstone cottages and an idyllic ford runs through the cobbled street below the cottage and a great country pub is round the corner. The Bakehouse Cottage In Buxton

This quirky cottage was once an old bakery known as “The Pies” this building has undergone major renovations over the years and recently we decided to share this beautiful cottage with everyone. Located just off Buxton market place down a hidden cobbled street you get the peace and quiet but in walking distance of everything you require. There are two bedrooms, a bathroom open plan living, dining, kitchen area, plus a small flagged area if you would like to sit out with a glass of wine.

Cuckoostone Barn is a stunning property set in the White Peak area of the Peak District. The area is surrounded by nature and the perfect location to sit and watch the wildlife go by, whilst being mesmerised by the uninterrupted views of rolling countryside. Cuckoostone Barn is an excellent base to explore the wonders of the Peak District National Park, with amazing walks and cycle routes on the doorstep, or a place to simply relax and unwind in an idyllic part of the world .
