FUJI BASE HOSTEL SAMURISE KURA -蔵-, and has been welcoming guests from all over the world since 2017. We respected and maintained the traditional Japanese style in the process of refurbishment, so you could enjoy and experience the traditional Japanese housing. We offer 4 different types rooms [Ume(梅) Momiji(椛) Sakura(桜) Tsubaki(椿)] depending on the group size (a child counted as 1 person, only aged 6 and up acceptable). We can keep your luggage free of charge before you check-in and after check-out. We also do a bicycle hire, which is very convenient for cycling around Lake Kawaguchi looking over Mt. Our private room features 1 or 2 futon beds on traditional tatami floors. The shared areas include bathrooms, dining space and a work/lounge/library area. The hostel Saruya Hostel opened in 2015 in Fujiyoshida, a city at the bottom of Mt Fuji. We renovated an 80 years old wooden house to create a place that allows our guests to experience time and space through carefully selected art, design and objects, mixing traditional Japanese inspiration with modern aesthetics.
