If you are interested in what true off-grid living is like, spend a few nights unwinding and reconnecting with yourself and nature. The Boathouse Hotel with it's renowned restaurant, fish and chip shop is a 5 minute walk away. With many magnificent bush walks, fishing, swimming, kayaking, cycling or just relaxing by the creek and watching the tide come in and out there is something for everyone. Just an hour and a half by car from Sydney or 30 minutes by ferry from Palm Beach.

The Loft at Kyangatha; an idyllic farm stay less than an hour's drive from Sydney. The Loft is a quirky sandstone and timber hideaway just 30m from the river. Set in a paddock with views of pasture, river and the hills of Popran and Dharug National Parks. Perfect for a couple (or 2+1) it is an ideal place to get away and relax. Enjoy calming walks around the property, relax by the river, go for a paddle or have a BBQ on the water's edge.

Waterfront Treehouse on the Hawkesbury River

Surrounded by national parkland on the Hawkesbury River, the Treehouse is an architecturally designed red-cedar cottage set high on the riverbank with a private jetty and spectacular water views. The two queen beds are furnished with luxurious cotton and Belgian linen. The main bedroom is on a mezzanine level and overlooks the living area which has a slow-combustion fire. Perfect in summer or winter. (Sunday check-out is 5pm.)
