The smallest of three units on the property, it is perfect for couples, or a small family looking for a beautiful Midlands break away. Paddocks Cottage on Newstead Farm nestles in the rolling hills near Nottingham Road. Here you can find dams for boating and bass fishing, a tennis court and 25ha of indigenous forest! This rural smallholding farm with Nguni Cows and retired horses has a significant history from the 1840's and gives you the chance to experience the true peace and tranquillity of the countryside, but yet is very central to top restaurants, golf courses, wedding venues and schools. The farm runs on solar power.

Caracal Lodge @ the Hilton Bush Lodge

Enjoy life in the African bush with the beautiful Hilton Village just minutes away. Located at the Hilton Bush Lodge, bordering the famous Hilton College, Caracal Lodge sits among trees opening to spectacular views of the Rietspruit and Umngeni valleys. Listen closely and you will hear the rush of the Riets Waterfall, even better, take a walk through the bush and enjoy the falls first hand! If you're after something closer to home, wonder a few steps out back and enjoy the lodges pool.

This Bush Lodge styled cottage is only 3km away from Midmar Dam Resort and is geared for a relaxing stay. Privately positioned inside an enormous, well established Midlands Garden, it shares a boundary with River Goose Estate. The verandah overlooks sweeping lawns, with a braai area set under the African sky. The king bed is comfortable and the shower pressure is excellent. Guests have access to walks in the garden, the swings, an outdoor massage table and outdoor shower.

Kamberg Cottages is set in an agricultural area of Kamberg Valley. Families love to escape here to re-connect/re-set, to soak up the mountain views, lawn games, bonfires, small dam etc or to explore the 3 well loved nature reserves. Surrounded by trees, farmlands and heart warming views out to Giants Castle. Secure and peaceful this cottage is a split level barn conversion - humble, homely and fully equipped for self catering, comfortably hosts up to 9 guests in 6beds.

Woodsong Cottage - Self Catering

The cottage is situated in The Dargle Valley bordering a forestry estate and overlooks the uMngeni River. It is nestled in the trees next to the main house on Woodsong Farm, which is a small life-style farm where you are free to explore the surroundings. Enjoy walks to the small dam with a picnic basket and bird-watch, take photos, enjoy some casual fishing and wild-swimming. The cottage is not suitable from small children. The cottage is not pet friendly.

The Fox and Hound is situated in the leafy village of Hilton, close to upmarket shops, restaurants, schools, The Hilton Life Hospital and the popular Midlands Meander. It has a cosy living area, with a wood burning fireplace, full Dstv channels, and a well appointed open plan kitchen. Two spacious bedrooms, one with a queen size bed and the other with two singles, and the option of mattresses on the living room floor for extra guests. Free WiFi is available.

Welcome to The Snuggery Cottage in the picturesque town of Howick, gateway to the KZN Midlands. Nestled in a 1940s property with solid brick walls and oodles of character, the Cottage is ideal for one or two people. Whether over-nighting, or staying longer, guests are welcome to unplug, visit our chickens and ducks, light the fireplace, play card games, read a book or head out and enjoy the sights and beauty on offer in the KZN Midlands.

Our wooden cabin over the lake offers a cozy and comfortable stay, with stunning views over the lake and the forests around the property. Enjoy the bird life of which there are a few species. You can enjoy the tranquility, or fish from the deck, or explore the nearby attractions. The cabin is self catering, semi off-grid equipped with a gas geyser supplying hot water to the shower, and we have an ensuite septic based toilet.
