Opawaho retreat offers a peaceful, private, self contained place to stay. We are close to the city centre (3km), including the new One NZ Stadium and surrounding recreation hotspots of Canterbury (ski fields 90 min drive). Tucked away in a leafy section boasting both privacy & delightful birdsong. Cafes a plenty to satisfy the caffeine & baked goods lovers plus the local supermarket is only a 10-15 min walk depending on your pace. Bus stops also dotted around taking you to the city & beyond.

Surrounded by large trees, beautiful woodland gardens, across the road from the Ōpāwaho River and the sound of birdsong at your doorstep, you are bound to feel relaxed and at home in our bespoke cottage. Staying in a tiny home is an unforgettable experience — and we hope you’ll fall in love with this space just as we have. Please note: The spa is closed for the season from December 1 to February 28.

Avonview Cottage

Avonview Cottage is a cosy place, warm in winter and cool in summer (with heatpump and HRV). There is a full kitchen, with large fridge/freezer, microwave, ceramic cooktop (4 burners) and an oven. The bathroom has a nice hot shower and a small vanity. There’s also a front loading washing machine for you to use. The Avon River is very close by and the area is very quiet. A New World supermarket is only a 10 minute walk away and there are lots of other shops and restaurants around.

Roker Street Retreat

This luxurious, spacious studio offers a contemporary, quiet retreat with a distinctly Kiwi feel. Nestled in a fantastic neighbourhood on our Somerfield property, we are close to the city and the hills so you'll have the best Ōtautahi (Christchurch) has to offer close at hand. The studio boasts a super comfortable King bed, an ensuite with generous shower, built in home office and small lounge area. Outside there is a private deck with outdoor furniture and a spa.

2.7km from Te Kaha (One NZ Stadium) SKIERS - Cyclists - Welcome This is a 1/4 acre section open-plan quiet and relaxing space close to the central city. Bedroom, living room and kitchen space all occupy an open plan. A comfy sofa bed can be made up, but this incurs a cost of $25 /night. You have access to a shared garden, bush, flowers, ferns and SPA POOL nestled in the fernery. You're welcome to do a BAG/Bike drop off and these can be LOCKED away.
