IMPORTANT TO NOTE that due to the open nature of the stairs in the main bedroom and the ladder in the kitchen, that unfortunately the house isn't suitable for children between the age of 1 and 6 years. Kitchen Large, spacious, bright, double height ceiling with skylights and two double doors opening up to private decked courtyard with garden furniture. Italian limestone floors. Solid oak dining table to seat 6. Gas hob, 2 ovens (gas and electric), microwave, warming drawer, double ceramic sink, dish washer, fridge/freezer, pull out ironing board and steam iron. Living Area Open to kitchen. Solid limed oak paraquet flooring. U shaped modular sofa designed especially for the space with movable footstool for serious lounging. Private, sheltered, timber decked courtyard with lounge type garden furniture and barbecue. Main Bedroom Spacious and elegant, with double height ceiling and stairs to private mezzanine. Double bed with high quality mattress, goose down duvet and pillows ( if you have allergies let me know I can change these) and top quality bedding. The room is beautiful at night with an attractive layering of designer lighting ( hotel style double switching from the bed) Limestone flooring and welcome underfloor heating. Limited visitor storage on the mezzanine upstairs. Ensuite bathroom Small but perfectly formed wet room with good shower. Second Bedroom Small, but bright and cozy (My friend described the experience of sleeping there as 'sleeping in a cloud') Double bed with high quality mattress and bedding. Underfloor heating, limestone floor. Lots of storage, and hanging space. There is an option to make the sofa in the living area into a single bed if guests would rather have their own sleeping space. Main bathroom With a very attractive green marble floor and brass fittings, a full bath and good shower. Extras *Fresh flowers *Towels, hand towels and bath mats are provided. *Luxury shower gel and hand soap provided in both bathrooms. *Collection of travel books relevant to the area. *A full extensive Victoria Terrace brochure produced just for you! Giving you everything you need to know on the house, the local area, and Dublin City and county. A PDF of this will be emailed to you prior your arrival. *Basic food parcel with local specialties. Entire house and garden Myself or my parents will be there to welcome you and show you around the house. If there's any issues one of us will be only a few minutes away. The house is located on a quiet street within easy walking distance of the bustle of the restaurants, theatre, and shops of the internationally acclaimed Dundrum Town Centre. For something quieter stroll to the farmers market, gardens, and cafe at the beautiful Airfield Estate. Take a short and pleasant journey by light rail to the center of the city. The station is just across the street. Visible from the house the beautiful Dublin Mountains are a mere 15 min drive away. Perfectly located in a quiet street beside the Dundrum Luas station (pleasant 13 min journey on LUAS light rail to centre of Dublin (St Stephens Green), trains every 3-5 mins. 7 min walk to the Pembroke District restaurants and some of the best shopping in the city at the award winning Dundrum Town Centre. Fancy a yoga class during your visit?...I teach in the studio next door. There's guest yoga mats in the house, and I'll get you a discount if you'd like to join my class. Ros cottage was lovingly created and built by its only owner twenty years ago with a design that makes you believe its been there forever. While it looks old and traditional, it is equipped with all the modern amenities one could ever want. Nestled atop a hillside and overlooking the Irish sea and Carlingford Lough, this is a haven for family , or individuals who want to get away from “ the madding crowd “ and live as one with nature. With breathtaking and uninterrupted views over the sea towards the Mourne Mountains , Ros Cottage is a one off and has to be seen to be believed. This family home is within two miles of the medieval village of Carlingford and the home of some of the finest restaurants and bars on the North East coast. Enjoy the excellent quality food and service with the famous locally grown Carlingford oysters washed down with locally brewed beers. Take the local fifteen minute ferry ride and you will arrive at the Royal County Down golf club. Should you prefer things to be a little less hectic , take one of the many hiking trails just outside your back door, or retire to the sun room to read and relax. Alternatively , just meander through the beautifully matured Ros Cottage garden all lovingly planted by the owner. This is a very unique and beautiful home with an abundance of character. It is extremely well appointed with full open plan kitchen, dining room, sun room , utility room and three bedrooms. The main sitting room features a floor to "cathedral roof " stone fireplace which draws not just warmth , but great conversations . Visit Ros Cottage once and you will immediately want to come back.
