The house is situated in Bellingham, in the heart of the North Tyne valley (17 miles from Hexham) within walking distance of all the town’s amenities. An exquisite base (with consistently high reviews) for exploring the tranquil local landscapes, by foot or wheel, close to the River North Tyne (fishing permits available), the International Dark Sky park and Kielder observatory. We have officially the darkest skies in England; from the back garden over 2000 stars can be seen on a clear night.

Just 7 minutes by taxi to Murrayfield Stadium, with a supermarket and bus stop 2 minutes away, Water of Leith 5 minutes walk, and Redhall Park nearby. Perfect for families or groups, with a fully equipped kitchen, Wi-Fi, comfortable living areas. Close to Edinburgh Castle, easily reachable by taxi, bus, or a scenic walk through The Water of Leith Walkway is a greenway of 20 km .

A family home with curated art collection, Persian rugs, and furniture from around the world. Located within a 10 minute walk to festival venues, Edinburgh University, and town centre, home retains a feeling of quiet countryside. The front door opens to a path to Arthur's Seat and the back door to secluded south facing garden, with seating and fire pit for chilly evenings. We have a lush garden with a herb spiral for salads and cooking, and shops, bakery, and restaurants within a short walk.

We offer a double , fresh and bright bedroom in our family home in a very quiet area of Penicuik. Perfect starting point for exploring Edinburgh or the country side as we offer free parking with bus stop on the door step. We have a big garden plus a huge grass area in front of our house and happily host kids or dogs or both. PLEASE BE AWARE : the car park is about 50m away from the entrance to the room. The room is not suitable for wheel chairs . Note that there is a £10 charge for dogs.

Located just ove two miles from the centre, there is a bus stop across the street that will get you into Princes Street in 20 minutes., depending on traffic conditions. With the off street parking bay for two cars it offers the possibility of safe parking and easy bus access. There is an excellent shopping centre with Aldi and Sainsbury’s supermarkets within 8 minutes walk from the house.
