Ortigia Island is connected to the city of Syracuse by a bridge. We recommend a visit to the Fountain of Arethusa, the cathedral with perfectly preserved Doric columns inside, the Maniace Castle and the famous market. The island of Ortigia is teeming with small restaurants that offer tourists authentic, high-quality culinary experiences. The narrow streets of the island are also home to several shops selling handicraft goods.

Modica is a jewel of a city set among the Hyblean rocks, located in south-eastern Sicily and a UNESCO heritage site since 2002. Built on several levels and divided into neighbourhoods with different souls, but part of a unique nucleus, the Baroque of the Val di Noto, the city unfolds from the rocky hills surrounding it towards a concave valley, once the bed of a river. In the past, 17 bridges were built to connect the various parts of the city.
