It is restoration of the church that was built 1929, but was damaged in the Nazi bombardment of Banja Luka in 1941 and demolished by the command of the occupant reign of the Independent Republic of Croatia, at the time. Now, it represents one of the most beautiful and the biggest architectural accomplishments of the Ortodox temples at the territory of the Balkans.

Convent Marija Zvijezda was made in 1926 as conventional church, for the community, which after the World War I became meager, and counted 150 members. What is so special about the church, is its artistic, plastic equippedness- the sculpture is more of an addition to the architecture than a decoration.
