Log Boom Park is made up of a series of piers or docks that reach out into the north end of Lake Washington. This is very near Kenmore Air which flies sea planes off Lake Washington throughout the day. This is a great viewing point to watch the action of the seaplanes as well as whatever else is happening on the lake. Fishermen frequent the docks as well. There are lots of ducks and geese to watch, but we're asked not to feed them......too messy.

Be sure and enjoy a ferry ride on Puget Sound. It gives you an entirely different perspective on the area. There are many ferry ride choices, but one that's close to the Inn and very picturesque is The Mukilteo to Clinton Ferry that takes you onto Whidbey Island for the day. You can drive up the Island stopping along the way at various sights and leaving Whidbey at the north end passing through Anacortes to swing east towards Mount Vernon and I-5 and then south on I-5 back to the Inn. The whole route is about 95 miles and can easily be done in a day. It's a great day trip we've done many times with guests.

Impressive opportunity to be close to boats of all sizes as they are being lifted from Puget Sound level up to the level of the Ship Cana, Lake Union and Lake Washington. Watch them sail in and out of the locks. It all happens in a short time. The locks are very busy especially on the weekends. The grounds at the Locks are fun to explore as well.
