Our 1948 vacation home is on 4 acres & boasts 3 bedrooms, 3 full baths, 2 half baths, Bridal Suite (4th bedroom), 70s TV/Game Room, Tiki Bar, & Children's Playroom. Outside we have a pool (guaranteed to be open 5/26 - 9/5) & hot tub (year round). Located 15min away from Downtown DSM & a mile away from a grocery store/restaurants. Up to 2 dogs allowed for an additional fee. ***Events/photo shoots are allowed with written permission only and will be an added fee. No events larger than 25 total.***

Cozy Nest on the Platte River

Enjoy quiet country living in our guest house by our home on the Platte River. There are forty acres where you can fish, walk, swim, or just relax on the porch. The nest accommodates a family of four, but if you need more space ask to add the River Room to your reservation. Enjoy one of the restaurants nearby or bring your own food and utilize our gathering space with couch, tv, fridge, kitchenette, and grill. WIFI is available but we recommend you put down the devices and enjoy your getaway.

Restful Rustic Comfy Cabin.

Sweet little cabin by a little pond at the edge of the woods. Large sunny windows, real bed, (with room to bed a child or two down on the floor) tea pot, easy chair, composting toilet, AC, WiFi, hiking trails. There's no shower in the Cabin. Our water is from a deep well, tested, certified ... and delicious! There is an above ground pool, trampoline, and a trail down the hill Very child friendly. We maintain a fragrance-free facility, so no air "fresheners".

Hot tub is open for the winter (but pool is closed)! House with a private pool and hot tub, 3 minutes from the zoo, what's not to love? We are fully equipped with a baby gate, micro baby room, and kids cot for an extra sleeper. Three great beds and a stocked kitchen. This house is all that you need for a family getaway. We love our country retreat, and want to share it with you! Perfect for both small or large groups with plenty of space, indoors & out! Enjoy the beautiful countryside along with farm fresh eggs from our own hens. We are located close to the historic Amana Colonies, historic Kalona Village, Coralvile/Iowa City. We're a 25 minute drive to Kinnick Stadium & the University of Iowa/UIHC.

His and Her closets and sinks. For security of the property and your personal security the home has ADT security system on the outside entrances and the pool area.
