Farthings - genuine Austen charm cottage & garden

Renovated in June 2019, the house is a real haven, ideally located in the heart of Chawton village and surrounding Hampshire. Farthings was built circa 1700 for the workers of the Squires big house, which is now the Jane Austen Library in the centre of Chawton. The writer's home, now a museum, is directly opposite the house and it's said that Austen family members stayed in Farthings when they ran out of room. They certainly smoked hams for Squire Knight's guests in the inglenook fireplace.

Sleeping up to 9 guests, Barn House has a huge modern open-plan kitchen, dining and living area with amazing views over the peaceful Hampshire countryside. This is a great house to gather with your family and friends and children and enjoy the peace and quiet. The Pool House (for 2 Adults & 2 Children)

This unique, Architect designed self contained building, has a style all of its own. With an open plan kitchenette and island unit, including an oven, microwave, hob and fridge freezer, you can dine in or go out to the Market Town of Petersfield. The lounge area has a 72" TV with a full sky package and spare HDMI leads. There is a walk in shower wet room and a separate cloakroom. The bedroom is cosy, with a king size bed. There is a separate area with bunkbeds, for smaller children.
