Superb semi detached cottage with two bedrooms, large garden & private parking within the grounds just 2 miles from Cartmel & Newby Bridge at the South end of Lake Windermere. Granary Cottage has a EV charger for vehicle charging. Vehicle charging is charged at 50p per kwh unit. The dining room has great views with a pair of French doors in to the living room which has a large double sofa bed & another pair of doors in to the garden.. The master bedroom is en suite with a 2nd Jack & Jill door.

We offer guests a contact free stay in our detached studio suite in the Lake District.To refresh the studio and to complete intensive cleaning we block off a day either side of every booking. Drakes Cottage is situated within the courtyard of a former 18th century coaching stables. The medieval village of Cartmel is a 15 minute walk away, via public footpath through the surrounding fields or country lanes. Famous for its 12th century Priory, 2 Michelin starred restaurants & delicious sticky toffee pudding. The Edwardian town of Grange is a 5 minute drive with plenty of amenities and a lovely promenade walk. The southern end of Lake Windermere is a 12 minute drive.

Apple House is a quiet retreat where you can completely unwind. It has beautiful views to the wildlife garden and pond, kitchen garden and the hills beyond. Standing in the gardens of Hylands, a fine Arts and Crafts House, to the West of Kendal. It is decorated using quality local materials and skills of local crafts people. It's 12 minutes walk from Kendal town center's many independent shops, cafes and restaurants and 5 minutes walk to our local pub 'The Rifleman's Arms'.
