The Presbytery, Forres

The Presbytery is a private holiday home in central Forres, sitting opposite Grant park, Cluny hill and Sanqhuar woodlands. This traditional house offers comfortable accommodation for up to four adults and two children, including private garden and off road parking. The house is located five minutes from Findhorn Bay and the beautiful Moray Coast beaches and fifty minutes from the ski resorts of Aviemore and the Lecht. An ideal base to explore Moray, Speyside, Inverness and the Cairngorms.

The Gate Lodge, four star rated, is located at the entrance to Kellas House. A comfortable lodge offering a large sitting room with fireplace, dining room, fully equipped kitchen and comes with your own private hot tub. Please note there is a surcharge of GBP 8 per day per pet this can be paid cash to us. If your stay is longer than 5 nights you can use our laundry facility located at Kellas House (3 min. walk) please ask about this on your arrival if you like to use this facility.

Rose Cottage is a spacious, modernised 2 bedroom cottage situated in a peaceful courtyard close to the river Ness and the city centre. Recently fully renovated it is bright with a contemporary style and some unique original features like stone mantled fireplaces. It is just five minutes walk to cafes, restaurants, shops, art galleries, museums and the theatre. Inverness is a small city with canal and river walks and is a great base for exploring the beautiful Scottish Highlands.

The Nissen hut at HMS Owl was originally built in 1941 by the RAF. The Owl is our family home and took us 5 years to restore it. It has been featured on TV and in numerous design publications. HMS Owl is pretty special as is the restored Nissen available to rent. The Hut is cosy, warm and private with large living space and kitchen and large ensuite bedroom. It is just a short walk from the city’s vibrant array of cafes, bars, restaurants and the home of Gordon&MacPhail for the whisky lovers. Recently refurbished with traditional features, including the original cast iron roll top bath for which we highly recommended a relaxing dip with lots of bubbles. This is the perfect base for exploring the beautiful Moray Coast, Aberdeenshire and the Highlands.

It sits within a secluded courtyard and is quiet and peaceful while being close to the many excellent restaurants, bars and shops which Inverness has to offer. It has private off-road parking. It is situated less than 5 minutes walking distance from the centre of Inverness and is very close to the River Ness, Inverness Cathedral and Eden Court Theatre.

We are peacefully situated only a few minute’s walk from Archiestown and on the famous Malt Whisky Trail. Aberlour and the famous Speyside Way are a short walk down through the stunning countryside and forest. Dufftown and Craigellachie are a few minutes drive away.
