Welcome to our 150 year old cosy cottage in the heart of the Brecon Beacons National Park. We are located in a perfect location in the countryside in the quaint village of Defynnog on the A4067, 8 miles from the base of Pen y Fan. Opposite an old church with views across the valley it offers an an ideal getaway with walks in every direction and outdoor activities (canoeing, climbing, horse riding) further afield. Local events include: The Abergavenny Food Festival, Crickhowell Walking Festival, Haye Literary Festival, The Green Man. The village is two miles away with shops and pubs.

The cottage, opposite the Cathedral, adjoins one of Brecon's finest Georgian buildings, Grade II listed Priory Hill House, with which it shares a lovely half-acre garden on the banks of the River Honddu, with spectacular views of Pen y Fan. Tastefully furnished with Welsh antiques, a newly equipped kitchen, TV, & Wifi.

The Garden House is a peaceful stone cottage set in the historic gardens of High Glanau Manor, the home of H. Avray Tipping (1855-1933) the Architectural Editor of Country Life Magazine from 1907. High Glanau Manor is an important Arts & Crafts house set in 12 acres of gardens designed in 1922. The gardens retain many original features including formal terraces, octagonal pool, glasshouse, pergola and 100 ft long double herbaceous borders. There are spectacular views to the Brecon Beacons

Our beautiful cottage is situated in the Brecon Beacons national park, with a spectacular view of Pen y Fan from the lounge window and from the spacious tiered garden. Spend your evenings viewing the beauty of the International Dark Sky Reserve! If you're looking for a perfect get away with a wood burner in the living room, a fire pit in the large garden (with logs provided) and plenty of hot water for a dip in the roll top bath, this is the perfect place! Our cottage is dog friendly.

Cwmclyn Canol is a quiet and cozy cottage inside the Bannau Breicheniog National Park with a pub within walking distances and footpaths directly onto Pen Y Fan. The cottage was refurbished in 2022 to a high standard and boasts magnificent mountain views. Additional views include waddling ducks, squabbling chickens and honking geese. Good wifi, TV/DVD, films and a box of games. Kitchen has plenty of everything and there is a log burner in the living room as well as a firepit outside.
