Our B&B is situated on the north shore of Loch Carron, literally a stone’s throw from the water’s edge. Ardaneaskan is a picturesque old fishing village, its scenery is second to none with views of the Cuillin Hills of Skye and Plockton Our small village boasts many sightings of Pinemartens, Otters, Seals, Dolphins, Deer and Eagles, making it a paradise for hill walkers and wild life enthusiasts alike. The nearest village is Lochcarron, 7 miles away, where you can access a bank, shops, pubs and petrol stations. Nearby we also have: Applecross - 22 miles. Drive the Bealach na Ba (pass of the cattle) road which will take you up to a height of just under 2,054 ft (the third highest road in Scotland) which enables you to enjoy the breathtaking scenery of the Cuillin Hills of Skye and the Applecross peninsula. Applecross is famous for its magnificent scenery and of course the T.V series Monty Halls Great Escape to Beachcomber Cottage with his faithful dog Reubs. Torridon - 27 miles. The Torridon hills include Munros such as Liathach, Ben Damph and Beinn Alligin. A visit to the Beinn Eighe National Nature Reserve. Shieldaig - 19 miles. Top quality Sea Tours and the home of two Sea Eagles. Eilean Donan Castle - 26 miles. The iconic most photographed castle in Scotland. Plockton - 24 miles. Home of "Hamish Macbeth", palm trees and fine dining. The Isle of Skye - 30 miles. Cuillin Hills, Talisker Distillery, the Fairy Pools, Dunvegan Castle, We highly recommend travelling by car in this area of Scotland. Train. You can take the train from Inverness or Kyle of Lochalsh, the nearest stop to us is Strathcarron. Bus. Citylink operate a bus from Kyle of Lochalsh to Inverness which will stop at Strathcarron.

Ghoirtein Bed and Breakfast

Our house is Architect designed with wonderful views over the valley towards Glen Affric and the mountains. We are 4 miles from the very busy town of Drumnadrochit so if you like peace and quiet this is the place to be. The house is situated un 2.5 acres of woodland with a small lochum. We have 14 hens, 8 ducks and 1 cat. The garden is full of wild life and birds, we have red squirrel, foxes and pinemartins. Please note we have no cooking or dining facilities, and no takeaways in room.

Bank House, Invergarry

Our home is situated in the beautiful village of Invergarry in the Scottish Highlands. Invergarry is on the A87, the road that leads to the Isle of Skye. We offer a self contained private ensuite bedroom with its own entrance to outside, our guests are provided with keys to both doors. Our room can be setup as either a superking bed or as two singles. Your room is equipped with a small fridge in which you will find a delicious continental breakfast and other treats. A warm welcome awaits you.

We are on the edge of Glen Duror with plenty of forest walks from your door or just relax and watch the Red Squirrels in the garden. Route 78 cycle path is nearby and many Munros are on the doorstep. Set in the Scottish Highlands we cater for all and are a biker and cyclist friendly B&B. We are equidistant from the east and west NC500 routes. Rosehall trails and off road cycle tracks are on our doorstep along with Achness falls and Ravens Rock Gorge. Shinn Falls and its visitors centre is only a short drive away. Set in an acre of woodland in a tranquil village, you can spot a variety of birds and wildlife from the windows and we are often visited by Red squirrels, pine martens and deer

It is also a great base for exploring and adventuring. A breakfast bundle (vegan/GF available) is provided for your first morning. We are passionate about providing an eco-friendly experience for you - organic and locally sourced items wherever possible.

Fair Winds Bed and Breakfast (En-suite bedroom)

This room has a king sized bed with private bathroom, TV Wi/Fi . The view from the window is overlooking the Morar River estuary. There is a hospitality tray in your room with tea and coffee. There is no self catering or access to our kitchen. Breakfast is served downstairs in the dining room, usually between 8am -9am. Earlier breakfast can be arranged. There is plenty of parking in the driveway. Please note that we are on the Mainland. We are not on the Isle of Skye
