Nestled in a historic cobbled courtyard, this romantic cottage is a moment's walk from the Georgian square and the pubs, restaurants and shops of Broughton-in-Furness. Our 18th Century cottage has beams and an open fire. The bench in the courtyard, and the rear seating area with barbeque overlooking gardens both catch the sun at different times of day, making this the ideal place to relax.

Converted Barn, Patterdale in the Lake District

Welcome to Crook a Beck Barn, Patterdale a former Cart Barn which we lovingly restored during 2017. The Barn is located on the original coach road in the hamlet of Crook a Beck, next to the village of Patterdale, in the heart of the Lake District, in one of the most beautiful Lake District valleys. During peak season - April to the end of October, 7 nights minimum stay with a Friday changeover. Short breaks may be available so please drop us a message to ask!

The King George pub is only a minute walk away, serving lovely home cooked food and real ale. The Ravenglass and Eskdale Railway, known locally as “La’al Ratty” is only a ten minute walk from the cottage. Eskdale Stores is open daily. The cottage itself has been recently renovated and has a secure garden with lovely views, ideal dogs.
