This is a pretty, clean, well-furnished, quiet room, 5min from the centre. It looks over the garden and has a work desk. Tea, coffee, fridge, kettle, toaster and microwave are provided. Currently, there is no access to the kitchen or living room A bit of work needs to be done in the hallway and a bit still in the bathroom, so if you need perfection, don't book this room. The very low price of the room compared to average for the area, reflects the work needing to be done.

Spectacularly situated in the beautiful Buttermere valley, Wood House is a guest house with three en suite bedrooms (a double and two twin rooms) and a separate cottage which sleeps six. Lovely Lake District rural retreat

My home is on a small, Lakeland farm set up on a hillside with wonderful views down to the Duddon estuary. You could be woken by the song of a blackbird or robin or the cockerel; otherwise, it's a wonderfully quiet, peaceful spot. The hens and cats hang out in the yard, various sheep breeds, four ponies, and a scattering of cows populate the fields, and beyond that a gate opens onto the hills.
