A relaxing, slow scenic train ride up will take you to one of my favourite places for walking. The Panoramic views are simply amazing, not only can you see The Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, you can see both the Grindelwald and Lauterbrunnen Valleys, both Lake Brienz and Lake Thun, a view of the Niesen and the whole of Interlaken, it's simply breathtaking and the views are endless. The Alpine Garden is free and it's a must for all plant and flower lovers. Don't expect there to always be an abundance of flowers, it depends when you go and how the weather has played it's part.

You can take the train up to Schynige Platte and eat something or hike. It's wonderful. Probably the best view onto Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau.

A tabletop mountain reached by an old cogwheel railway. You can climb up the last bit on a ladder! Travel from Lauterbrunnen down to Wilderswil to get the train up the mountain.
