If you're into Alaska Native arts and crafts, visit this hospital, take the elevator to the 5th floor and stop at each subsequent floor viewing the displays of authentic, extraordinary Native handiwork. Stop at the 1st floor gift shop on your way out. Call for hours for the gift shop

Another place to buy Native art and crafts (where the money goes directly to the artist) is at the gift shop in the Alaska Native Medical Center (4315 Diplomacy Drive). Sounds odd to shop at a hospital but it is a popular place to buy beautiful things made by Native Alaskans.
