5 minute drive - Hiking trails near the Botanical Park. Pretty flat in general, but nice hiking with birds, flora, etc.

The best way to immerse yourself in the trail is with a guide from the National Trust (www.nationaltrust.org.ky). However it is a straightforward one-way trail through different ecosystems with lots of birds and plants along the way. Good footwear is recommended; it is a trail through a rocky woodland with seasonally wet areas. Depending on the time of year it can be very hot and you should pack some water, mosquito repellant and sunscreen just to be safe! The northern trailhead is about 10 minutes away and the southern about 15.
